By His Wounds We Are Healed

"He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed." - 1 Peter 2:24

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemn already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God." - John 3:16-18

Without Christ the whole world would be condemned, because of our sin and rebellion towards God. But God loved us so much that even though we all have sinned against Him, He sent Christ so that we might all have chance to be saved. We are saved by admitting we are sinners, believing that Christ is Lord, and committing ourselves to Him. I am so thankful for such an awesome God that has forgiven me of all my sins, and I pray that each day God will help me grow closer to Him and to become more like Christ!

"Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved." - Romans 10:9-10

In His Garden

Above is my drawing of a garden, and below is the poem I wrote to go with it.

God's love is a work of art,
It's a beautiful image on our heart.

Of how His son did come to die,
So we could be sanctified.

Christ shed His blood on the cross,
So we all might not be lost.

He rose on the third day,
In hope that we would pray.

So we might ask for His pardon,
So we could be with Him in His garden.

Music

"All music should have no other end and aim than the glory of God and the soul's refreshment; where this is not remembered there is no real music but only a devilish hub-bub."

Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing at all.
~ Helen Keller

God, who got you started in this spiritual adventure, shares with us the life of his Son and our Master Jesus. He will never give up on you. Never forget that.

The Phantom of the Opera

"Those who have seen your face draw back in fear. I am the mask you wear, it's me they hear."
~ The Phantom of the Opera, Andrew Lloyd Webber

You can't keep your true self hidden forever; before long you'll be exposed. You can't hide behind a religious mask forever; sooner or later the mask will slip and your true face will be known.
~ Luke 12:2-3a

Violin

Men think God is destroying them because he is tuning them. The violinist screws up the key till the tense cord sounds the concert pitch; but it is not to break it, but to use it tunefully, that he stretches the string upon the musical rack. ~ Henry Ward Beecher

Happy Easter

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not  perish, but have everlasting life. ~ John 3:16

Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him. ~ Romans 6:9

"The Son of God became a man to enable men to become sons of God." ~ C. S. Lewis

"A man can eat his dinner without understanding exactly how food nourishes him. A man can accept what Christ has done without knowing how it works: indeed, he certainly would not know how it works until he has accepted it." ~ C. S. Lewis

Bread

"But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God." - Matthew 4:4

Man cannot live by bread alone, he needs something stronger to feed his hungry soul, so he'll try everything under the sun, but nothing will end his hunger nothing but Your love. - Ginny Owens

The Little Crocodile

"How doth the little crocodile
Improve his shining tail,
And pour the waters of the Nile
On every golded scale!
How cheerfully he seems to grin,
How neatly spread his claws,
And welcome little fishes in,
With gently smiling jaws!" ~Lewis Carroll

The Dog

"You see, a dog growls when it's angry, and wags its tail when it's pleased. Now I growl when I'm pleased, and wag my tail when I'm angry. Therefore I'm mad." Alice's Adventures In Wonderland - Lewis Carroll

The Rock on which our Society Rests

"It is impossible to rightly govern a nation without God and the Bible." - George Washington

Today our government tries to take God and the Bible out of everything, and our society is losing its morals; it's growing farther and farther away from God. People used to know how important God and the Bible were to society! Here are several quotes from some of the great leaders of our nation, on the importance of keeping God in our government.

"We have been assured, Sir, in the Sacred Writings that, 'except the Lord build the house, they labor in vain that build it' (Psalm 127:1). I firmly believe this, and I also believe that without His concurring aid we shall succeed in this political building no better than the building of Babel." - Benjamin Franklin

"It cannot be emphasized too strongly or too often that this great nation was founded, not by religionists, but by Christians, not on religions but on the gospel of Jesus Christ! For this very reason people of other faiths have been afforded asylum, prosperity, and freedom of worship here." - Patrick Henry

"The only assurance of our nation's safety is to lay our foundation in morality and religion." - Abraham Lincoln

"Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate for the government of any other." - John Adams

"Religion and morality are the essential pillars of society." - George Washington

"The Bible is the Rock on which our Republic Rests." - Andrew Jackson

To all of the problems man has ever known... It is my firm belief that the enduring values presented in it pages have a great meaning for each of us and for our nation. The Bible can touch our hearts, order our minds, and refresh our souls. - Ronald Reagan

People used to know how important Christianity was (and still is), and they would try to keep God and the Bible in everything they did. But today in our society people treat Christianity as if it is of no importance.

Rose

"I read in a book once that a rose by any other name would smell as sweet, but
I've never been able to believe it. I don't believe a rose would be as nice if
it was called a thistle or a skunk-cabbage."~Anne of Green Gables

This is a picture of a rose I drew.

The wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad for them; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose. - Isaiah 35:1
